Despite the adage not to judge a book by its cover, it's kinda hard not to just want to pick up and devour each of these books, based on their covers only. In a sea of a billion books, I need something to grab me and pull me in. Sometimes it's the book cover, other times a review I read or a recommendation from a friend. But above all, beautiful design is a big attraction in all aspects of my life so it's no wonder these six books caught my eye.

Movies that Move You: Upstream Color

Upstream Color // A man and woman are drawn together, entangled in the life cycle of an ageless organism. Identity becomes an illusion as they struggle to assemble the loose fragments of wrecked lives.

As a fan of Shane Carruth's Primer, I desperately wanted to see his newest film Upstream Color. As with Primer, this film stunned me with its disjointed narrative and hypnotic cinematography. It weaves together images of life, love, nature and the question of whether one can truly overcome an emotional loss.
